Valentine Ozigbo
The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has ruled in favor of Valentine Ozigbo.
The court declared him as the validly elected candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Anambra Governorship election slated for November 6, 2021.
The President of the Court of Appeal, Honorable Justice Monica Dongban- Mensem, made the declaration on Friday following an appeal filed by Ozigbo.
The court also set aside the judgment of the Awka High Court, which barred Ozigbo from parading himself as the PDP candidate in the coming election.
The court declared the decision of the lower court null and void.

The appellate court also awarded the sum of N10 million naira in favor of Ozigbo.
Valentine Ozigbo and Ugochukwu Uba had emerged as the PDP’s governorship candidates from parallel primary elections.
Both are laying claim to the party’s ticket ahead of November 6, 2021 governorship election in Anambra State.
However, Ozigbo seems to be winning the battle.
