The star of Cornwall-set period drama Poldark has reportedly gotten married in a "secret" ceremony in Italy, it has been reported.
Aidan Turner, 37, got married to long-term partner 38-year-old Caitlin Fitzgerald last August, after the pair first got together in 2018.
The Daily Mail reported that Turner wed the American actress once filming finished on his latest project - Leonardo - and that it was a private ceremony only their close friends and family knew about.
A source close to the pair told The Sun: "The couple are both madly in love and couldn't wait to get hitched when their schedules allowed. They're both very private and have kept the ceremony very much under wraps, but he has been seen taking lockdown walks with his wedding ring on show.

Turner, who played Ross Poldark, got together with Fitzgerald while filming The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot, which she also acted in.
Fitzgerald, granddaughter of a previous CIA director, has previously been in TV series Law and Order, as well as playing side roles in It's Complicated and Adult Beginners.

The wedding was reportedly in Italy, nearby to where Turner is starring in Leonardo, as the titular Leonardo Da Vinci, a biographical drama about the artist and inventor.
Filming for the show was paused for large parts of last year, before the wedding, due to Italy's Covid-19 outbreak.
